On-demand full-color printing capabilities and larger forms sizes create
entirely new marketing opportunities for financial card programs
MINNETONKA,
MINN—(July 26, 2011)—Datacard Group, the world leader in secure
ID and card personalization solutions, today announced new enhancements
to the Datacard® MXD™ Card Delivery System and the Datacard®
MXD™ Mailer Card Delivery System, enabling card issuers to turn
ordinary financial card carriers into powerful, multi-faceted
promotional mailings.
With these new capabilities – including variable color printing and form
sizes up to 11” x 17” or A3” – financial institutions, retailers and
other card issuers have the option to do so much more with their card
carriers, such as deliver one-to-one marketing messages, cross-sell
products and services, issue coupons and certificates, and encourage
immediate card activation.
“Card mailings represent an incredibly valuable opportunity for
financial card issuers to reach their cardholders with targeted
marketing messages,” said Russell St. John, senior vice president of
global marketing for Datacard Group. “Until now, however, they have been
limited in their ability to cost-effectively deliver highly personalized
and highly impactful messages.”
The new system turns blank white paper into highly personalized,
full-color financial card carriers. Customized marketing messages and
information — such as card activation steps or expanded terms and
conditions — can be printed on-demand. The ability to go from bulk
pre-printed paper to customized forms greatly reduces the need for
financial card issuers to manage large supplies of pre-printed forms and
build larger job sizes, dramatically reducing the operational
complexities and cost.
“Datacard Group continues to focus on offering products and services
that enable our customers to be successful in the marketplace,” said
Russell St. John. “That is exactly what the new capabilities of the MXD
card delivery system deliver. Financial card issuers can offer a much
more impactful mailing program that can capture the attention of their
cardholders, and can ultimately lead to increased card activation and
card usage by building stronger relationships with a highly targeted and
creative direct marketing piece.”
Whether card issuers prefer inline or sequential processing, the
enhanced MXD card delivery system can fit with any operational plan, and
can be configured as a modular addition to new or existing Datacard®
high-volume card issuance systems or can be deployed as a
stand-alone solution.
